Job summary

Steinbachonline in High River, AB, is seeking a Hydrovac Operator to operate hydrovac truck on residential, commercial and rural sites. You will also support labor tasks and ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include completing hydro excavation work, maintaining the truck, coordinating with dispatch, and complying with OH&S and safety procedures. A valid class 3 with air brakes is required, plus 3 years of hydro-vac/trucking experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class 3 with Air Brakes; Class 1 preferred, with a recent clean abstract.
• Minimum 3 years of hydro-vac and related trucking experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Tickets: CSTS, Air Breaks, Ground Disturbance Level 1 and First Aid.
• Knowledge of vehicle and equipment safety.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-directed and able to work with little supervision and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate Hydrovac Truck in residential, commercial and rural areas.
• Carry out basic maintenance of the Hydrovac Truck to maintain safe operation and keep unit organized.
• Complete hydro excavation tasks including utility line exposure, debris removal, trenching and digging.
• Coordinate safety procedures and pre-job hazard assessments with team.
• Prepare daily logs and paperwork in a timely manner.
• Comply with OH&S regulations and perform duties safely.
