Job summary

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. is seeking a Service Operator to manage hydroelectric plant operations, monitor performance and perform routine maintenance.

The role requires at least 1 year of electromechanical technician experience, familiarity with SCADA systems, and bilingual French/English communication with stakeholders outside Quebec. The position is based at the Innavik, QC site, with a standard full-time schedule and opportunities for career development within a responsible, inclusive

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an electromechanical technician in electrical work, automation, industrial maintenance or related field.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards is an asset and essential to ensure compliance.
• Training as an electromechanical technician or equivalent training.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems is an asset.
• Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written) is required for collaboration with stakeholders outside Quebec.

Responsibilities

• Operate the hydroelectric power plant as a service operator, performing routine monitoring and maintenance.
• Optimize the efficiency and output of the hydroelectric power plant by taking all necessary steps (trash rack, etc.).
• Perform daily maintenance and repair work on the plant's equipment, the building, and the grounds.
• Investigate and resolve alarm triggers from the hydroelectric power plant to minimize downtime (24-hour availability when in service).
• Operate heavy equipment.
