Job summary

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. is seeking a skilled Operator to join our remote camp team, operating and maintaining run-of-river hydro facilities in compliance with permits and safety standards. You will monitor plant performance, respond to alarms, and ensure efficient water usage.

The role requires 3-5+ years in a related field, Red Seal certification or equivalent, and a valid driver's license. Site work in remote BC locations with varied weather and heavy equipment experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years experience in a related field.
• Red Seal certification or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license (Class 1 or 3 with airbrake an asset).
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and documents.
• Ability to work independently in a remote industrial environment.
• Experience with Backhoe/Excavator an asset.
• Run-of-river hydro facility experience an asset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor power plants for efficiency and reliability.
• Respond to alarms and ensure safe operation.
• Maintain and repair equipment per permits and manuals.
• Record maintenance activities and order parts.
• Attend training and update logs and documentation.
• Work safely in remote, outdoor environments and in confined spaces.
