Job summary

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. seeks a Red Seal Electrician to operate and maintain hydroelectric facilities at the Toba site in British Columbia. The role involves hands-on electrical work, preventative maintenance, and collaboration with the operations team to ensure reliable energy production.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Electrician certification or equivalent required.
• Hands-on electrical and mechanical aptitude with field experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities; ability to operate in remote camp settings.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor hydroelectric generation systems with safety and efficiency in mind.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and equipment repairs on site.
• Read electrical schematics and hydraulic/pneumatic drawings to troubleshoot
• Troubleshoot alarms and coordinate with contractors and specialists as needed
• Assist in managing contractors and daily work planning at the site
• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety standards and remote camp protocols
• Live on-site in a remote camp on an 8 on / 6 off schedule
