Job summary

Weldco-Beales Manufacturing is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our team in Langley, BC. You will disassemble and assemble hydraulic cylinders and swivels, troubleshoot issues, perform safety tests, and ensure high-quality parts produced on schedule.

You will also support process improvements and maintain a clean, safe work environment, with a focus on efficient material usage and safety compliance. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of related experience, knowledge of fabrication and welding

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of tools and equipment in steel fabrication and welding operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety practices.
  • Overhead Crane Experience is an asset.
  • Trades ticket/Red Seal is an asset.
  • Ability to read, write, listen, and speak clearly at various levels.
  • Strong safety and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

Who Are You?

Reporting to the General Foreman, the Assembly Technician applies their experience and passion for precision manufacturing to take projects from blueprint to reality.

What you will do:
  • Disassembly and assembly of hydraulic cylinders and swivels
  • Troubleshooting
  • Safety testing
  • Complete projects carefully, without unnecessarily wasting material and/or resources
  • Process improvement
  • Produce high quality parts on schedule
  • Perform weekly maintenance and cleaning
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained through submission of Maintenance Request Forms to the Maintenance Department
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment at all times
  • Practice safety in the work place at all times to ensure he or she does not endanger oneself
  • Comply with all safety rules and practices as set by Occupational Health and Safety, WBM and any and all other relevant safety regulations and requirements
  • Daily pre-shift inspections on any and all equipment that will be used during the shift and inspection results will be recorded in log book
  • Will regularly check all work tools and equipment and shall take out of service any tool or equipment that poses a hazard due to a need for repairs.
  • Perform other duties as required
