Job summary

Weldco-Beales Manufacturing is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to join our team in Langley. You will read blueprints, fabricate weldments, and assemble components to form complete units.

Emphasis on quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency in a busy manufacturing environment. The role requires at least 3 years of related experience, strong welding and fabrication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years related experience in manufacturing or fabrication.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Fabrication and welding tasks with attention to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan work.
  • Fabricate steel weldments and assemble components as required.
  • Weld, fit, and fasten parts; ensure workmanship meets quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Participate in Weldco safety programs and adhere to procedures.

What you will do:
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Plan the sequence of tasks and assemble parts according to drawings
  • Fabricate steel weldments and use measuring instruments
  • Assemble and fit metal sections and plates together to form complete units or sub-units
  • Fasten components together (by tack weld) in preparation for a welder to complete the process
  • Operates and uses various other tools and hand grinders
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment at all times
  • Ensures workmanship throughout the manufacturing process and on finished goods meets or exceeds the cost, quality and schedule expectations of all customers.
  • Active participation in WBM Safety Program, ensuring that workplace safety exists at all times
  • Other duties as required
  • A minimum of3years related experience

  • Time management skills to productively complete work and meet all deadlines
  • Organizational skills to plan out and coordinate work in a logical manner
  • Analytical skills to identify problems and find a solution, or seek advice from the supervisor
