Job summary

Giraffe Foods Inc., part of the Symrise family, is seeking an Inbound Planner to analyze demand data and determine raw material procurement to support daily production schedules in Canada. You will issue material releases, maintain inventory targets, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery while resolving discrepancies.

The role requires 3–5 years in raw material purchasing in manufacturing, MS Office proficiency (Excel emphasized), and SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in raw material and packaging purchasing in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) with emphasis on Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is desired.
• APICS or NAPM (ISM) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze demand data and determine procurement quantity of raw materials for daily production.
• Use forecast and actual requirements to plan daily, monthly, and annual raw material needs.
• Issue raw material releases to ensure on-time delivery while maintaining inventory targets.
• Follow up with suppliers on confirmations and late orders.
• Coordinate with Strategic Procurement and resolve price discrepancies to ensure PO flow.
• Settle purchase order discrepancies and ensure timely returns of rejected materials.
• Maintain parameters for raw materials (MOQ, lead-times, safety stocks) for timely purchases.
• Recommend disposition of obsolete raw materials based on management inputs.
• Perform duties and projects identified by the VP of Supply Chain.
