Job summary

The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) in Toronto seeks a Manager, Operations and Facilities to lead hybrid workplace operations during a 7-month contract. You will oversee facility management, vendor relationships, budgeting and space planning, including the relocation project and safety programs.

Ideal candidates have five years of supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS 365/SharePoint; bilingual French/English is an asset.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or equivalent education and experience.
• Five years supervisory and/or management experience in a similar field.
• Demonstrated experience with facility management budget management, government regulations and health & safety.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, such as commercial construction initiatives, building decommissioning activities, or the sale of facilities.
• Proficiency with MS 365, including SharePoint
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• FMP or PMP Certification an asset
• WHIMIS Certification an asset
• RCDSO is building its bilingual (French/English) capacity and excellent French language proficiency is an asset

Responsibilities

• Manage physical space for the College including facility upgrades, repairs and maintenance.
• Plan and evaluate facility projects from start to finish according to project schedule, specifications and budget and monitor progress and prepare progress reports.
• Develop standards for hybrid workers to book workspace and parking for on-site work.
• Develop, implement and maintain effective preventative maintenance programs and ensure the organization complies with all applicable codes, standards and government regulations.
• Manage and monitor all security systems, standards and protocols for property management.
• Manage the onsite and offsite records storage, including records scanning vendor oversight.
• Manage and oversee space and catering management for onsite meetings.
• Manage the emergency response process in collaboration with the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC).
• Oversee a department of 4 staff (three direct reports and one indirect).
• Provide oversight of 1 on-site security personnel and Alarm Response Security Personnel.
