Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Mine Planning Engineer, Operational Growth, to support Ontario operations during construction and execution phases. You will review site execution plans, translate long-term designs into practical mine plans, and provide technical mining expertise across project teams.

The role requires 5–10 years in mining with strong planning experience, Deswik or Datamine proficiency, and willingness to travel to Ontario sites.

Qualifications

Mining Engineering Degree or equivalent related education.
5–10 years of relevant mining experience, including at least 5 years of mine planning.
Strong understanding of underground and/or open pit mining operations.
Experience using mine planning software such as Deswik, Datamine, or other industry-standard applications.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
Willingness to travel regularly to Ontario operations and project sites.

Responsibilities

Develop, review, and update short- and medium-term mine plans during project construction and execution phases.
Collaborate with Study and Construction Teams to evaluate technical assumptions and project readiness.
Assess site execution plans and evaluate risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives.
