Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Manager, Mining Operational Readiness in Ontario to lead readiness initiatives across projects. Responsibilities

• Lead the Operational Team during technical reviews in study and construction phases.
• Implement Readiness Plans for disciplines to ensure smooth transition from construction to operation.
• Build the team accountable to execute mining activities during construction.
• Support sites in mining operations and mine planning as needed.
• Support permitting activities for the Hammond Reef Project and assist in permitting strategy execution.
• Coordinate collection of required studies and data from internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor permitting schedules and tracking systems to ensure milestones are achieved.
• Prepare meeting agendas, record meeting minutes, and maintain project documentation.
• Participate in meetings, consultation sessions, and community engagement events related to permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Provide backup coverage for permitting activities during vacations, leaves, or workforce transitions.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Director, Ontario Operations, the Manager, you will lead operational readiness and preparedness initiatives for projects across the Ontario Region. You will represent the operation in technical and strategicdiscussions with Study and Construction Teams to ensure project expectations.You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• Lead the Operational Team that will be part of the technical reviews during the studying and construction phases;
• Implement the Readiness Plans for different disciplines to ensure a smooth transition from construction to operation;
• Build and structure the team that will be accountable to execute the mining activities (pre-stripping or underground development) when the project is approved and will be under construction;
• Offers additional support to the sites in the disciplines of mining operations (Open Pit and Underground) and mine planning when requested;
• Support permitting activities for the Hammond Reef Project and assist in the execution of permitting strategies;
• Coordinate the collection of required studies, technical information, and supporting data from internal and external stakeholders;
• Monitor permitting schedules and maintain tracking systems to ensure permit application and approval milestones are achieved;
• Prepare meeting agendas, record meeting minutes, and maintain project documentation and records;
• Participate in meetings, consultation sessions, and community engagement events related to permitting and regulatory compliance;
• Support business continuity by providing backup coverage for permitting activities during vacations, leaves, or workforce transitions.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Minimum of 10 years in mining industry, with experience in Surface and/or Underground project constructions, commissioning and ramp-up phases;
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Provincial and Federal environmental legislation, regulations, and permitting processes;
• Search for the implementation of innovative technologies and other solutions;
• Build the readiness plans for the new projects;
• Lead and represent the operation team in technical reviews with study and construction teams;
• Excellent project coordination, organization, and time management skills;
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences and stakeholders;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment;
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
• Ability and willingness to travel periodically to project and operational sites.

Your Work Schedule:

Schedule: 40 hours per week;

Occasional visits to site may also be required;

Workplace:A combination of remote work and on-site work at one of our offices.

Compensation Statement

No pay range is disclosed, as the compensation range exceeds $200,000.
