Job summary

A leading global financial institution engages Akkodis Canada to modernize its Capital Markets data platform. You will design, optimize SQL Server databases, lead performance tuning, and drive ETL/data warehousing efforts in a hybrid Montreal environment.

As the database SME, you will partner with software, AI, and analytics teams to deliver scalable data solutions, ensure security/compliance, and contribute to modernization plans.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and enterprise reporting environments.
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization.
• Exposure to cloud database solutions (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with ETL development using SSIS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases for mission-critical applications.
• Lead database performance tuning through indexing and query optimization.
• Develop ETL processes and data integration solutions using SSIS.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data standards and governance.
