Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing and supporting Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, and database design.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Extensive experience with database performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of database normalization, relational database design, and data modeling.
• Experience developing ETL processes and working with data warehousing concepts.
• Experience supporting cloud-based database platforms, including Azure and/or AWS.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Database Developer to design, develop, and optimize high-performance database solutions supporting enterprise applications. This role is ideal for a senior SQL Server professional with expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, ETL development, and scalable data solutions. You will work closely with application developers and technology teams to build reliable, secure, and high-performing database environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, stored procedures, functions, and SSIS packages.
• Build and maintain scalable ETL processes to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and operational data needs.
• Design efficient database schemas, ensuring data integrity, normalization, and optimal performance.
• Monitor and tune SQL Server performance by optimizing queries, indexes, and execution plans.
• Implement high-availability and disaster recovery strategies for critical database environments.
• Collaborate with application development teams to integrate database solutions into enterprise applications.
• Support cloud-based database initiatives and optimize database performance across hybrid environments.
• Troubleshoot database issues, identify bottlenecks, and recommend performance improvements.
• Ensure compliance with organizational data governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Document database architecture, development standards, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing and supporting Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, and database design.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch or other document-based databases.
• Exposure to in-memory databases or caching technologies such as Redis or SingleStore.
• SQL Server, Azure, or cloud platform certifications.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with .NET applications and integrating database solutions with enterprise software.
