Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Calgary is seeking a Junior Planner to support project planning, scheduling, and controls across the project lifecycle. You will work with the Project Controls Lead, Senior planners, and Contractors to develop and maintain integrated schedules and provide dashboards and progress reports.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field and 2–5 years' experience in planning and scheduling, with proficiency in Excel and scheduling software such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, PM, Business, Supply Chain or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in project planning, scheduling and controls.
• Internship or co-op experience in construction, energy, utilities, mining, infrastructure or industrial projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and update integrated project schedules using industry-standard tools.
• Coordinate schedule inputs from contractors, consultants and project teams.
• Prepare labour histograms, resource forecasts and manpower plans.
• Monitor progress against baselines and identify variances and recovery opportunities.
• Perform schedule analysis including critical path and resource-loaded schedule reviews.
• Assist in Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and metrics.
• Analyze contractor schedules and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Prepare planning reports, dashboards and performance updates for management.
• Participate in project meetings and present schedule updates and risks.
• Maintain planning documentation and change records.
• Support continuous improvement in project controls and planning processes.
