Job summary

Douglas College is seeking a Manager, Indigenous Community Development at the New Westminster Campus to lead Indigenous community initiatives, strengthen partnerships with local Nations, and advance Indigenization within Student Affairs.

You will oversee Elders programming, land‑based and cultural initiatives, and collaborate with Directors to support Indigenous student engagement and pathways.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading Indigenous community development initiatives.
  • Ability to build and sustain respectful relationships with Indigenous communities.
  • Strong organizational and analytical problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Indigenous community development initiatives and staff.
  • Develop partnerships with local Nations and Indigenous organizations.
  • Coordinate Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Holders programs.
  • Oversee Indigenous land‑based and cultural initiatives.
  • Support culturally grounded student engagement across the lifecycle.
