Peoples Group, a trusted Canadian financial services firm with offices in Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary, seeks a Mortgage Closing Specialist to manage complex multi-family transactions. You will ensure funding accuracy, perform QA on loan data, and coordinate with solicitors, insurance consultants, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in financial industry, mortgage administration, or high-volume transaction environments.
• Knowledge of mortgage documentation, loan closing processes, and security perfection.
• CMHC-insured multi-family experience is a strong asset and candidates with this experience will be prioritized.
• Bilingual in French (written and spoken) is a strong asset.
• Experience coordinating with external stakeholders and managing high-volume loan administration.
• Highly organized, adaptable, and collaborative, with prioritization skills and compliance awareness.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Manage closing processes for complex multi-family mortgage transactions, ensuring accurate funding and adherence to internal controls.
• Conduct QA reviews of loan data, prepare funding calculations, and system-produced documentation.
• Calculate, process, and authorize mortgage advances, disbursements, construction draws and postings; handle cheque requisitions and PAC setups.
• Maintain organized digital loan files with standard naming conventions and audit-readiness documentation.
• Liaise with solicitors, insurance consultants and other third-party service providers to confirm legal, insurance, and security perfection.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, treasury, and servicing teams to resolve discrepancies.
