Omnicom Media in Toronto is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Finance team. The role focuses on detailed reporting, supporting monthly and quarterly close, and understanding client contracts and revenue models.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education – University graduate in Finance or Accounting, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Preference of being in process of obtaining an accounting designation.
• Minimum 2 years Financial or Accounting related experience, preferably media agency, marketing or advertising related industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute financial reports, maintain supporting documentation, and manage related communications and records.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of reporting requirements as business needs and service offerings evolve.
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end financial close activities, including preparing supporting schedules, recurring accruals, and GL account reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of OMC’s database structure, client accounting requirements, and support systems and processes, including Mediaocean, SAP, D365, TM1, and DDS.
• Liaise with clients and suppliers to address purchase order, billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable inquiries and issues.
• Collaborate with Omnicom Shared Services and internal finance teams to support billing, collections, receivables management, and the timely resolution of outstanding issues.
• Investigate and follow up on financial discrepancies with relevant stakeholders to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Respond to ad hoc requests related to revenue, billing, financial reporting, and other finance operations.
• Support system-related activities, process improvements, and knowledge sharing or training as required.
• Assist broader finance team with projects and other assignments as business needs evolve.
