Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience including internships, co-ops, or academic projects.
• Interest in environmental assessment, planning, infrastructure, energy, or consulting.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; willingness to develop technical writing.
• Ability to organize information, manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and public datasets (e.g., Statistics Canada).
• Interest in Indigenous engagement and regulatory processes in Canada.
• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and eagerness to learn from teammates.

Responsibilities

• Support Environmental Assessment activities across stages of project planning and approval.
• Assist with preparing environmental impact assessments, regulatory applications, technical reports.
• Conduct research and analysis on demographics, housing, employment, land use, services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate information into reports.
• Assist in reviewing technical information and translating findings into clear documentation.
• Support Indigenous knowledge and community input within project documentation.
• Assist project teams with coordination, data collection, and document prep.
• Develop understanding of Canadian environmental assessment and regulatory processes through mentorship.
• Be a Safety Leader and promote Jacobs Beyond Zero and caring culture.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate biophysical, socio-economic and Indigenous components.
