Job summary

BMO is seeking a senior software engineering leader to design, develop, and evolve scalable enterprise ECM and related platforms. The role focuses on ECM technologies and modern software practices within a hybrid Toronto-based team.

The successful candidate will drive end-to-end delivery across the lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and advance DevOps, AI/LLM-enabled tooling, and cloud-native solutions. Hybrid work model with 2 days onsite.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or enterprise application development.
• Strong experience with ECM platforms (OpenText, FileNet, OnBase, or similar).
• Technical expertise in Java, Linux, Oracle/PL-SQL, REST APIs, Kafka; AWS (Lambda, S3, RDS, Containers); DevOps / CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise ECM and application platforms.
• Lead end-to-end delivery from solution design through deployment and production support.
• Build secure, scalable, and high-performing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business and technology teams.
• Maintain and enhance existing systems to meet evolving needs.
• Ensure system performance, stability, and cross-platform compatibility.
• Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD and automated testing.
