Job summary

BMO is seeking a senior software engineering leader to design, develop, and evolve scalable enterprise ECM and related platforms. The role focuses on ECM technologies and modern software practices within a hybrid Toronto-based team.

The successful candidate will drive end-to-end delivery across the lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and advance DevOps, AI/LLM-enabled tooling, and cloud-native solutions. Hybrid work model with 2 days onsite.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or enterprise application development.
• Strong experience with ECM platforms (OpenText, FileNet, OnBase, or similar).
• Technical expertise in Java, Linux, Oracle/PL-SQL, REST APIs, Kafka; AWS (Lambda, S3, RDS, Containers); DevOps / CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Join our B2B Banking & Credit Technology team, supporting critical loan servicing and credit platforms. This role focuses on Electronic Content Management (ECM) and emerging technologies, requiring expertise in platforms such as OpenText, IBM FileNet, OnBase , or similar tools.

You will lead the design, development, and evolution of scalable enterprise solutions while working across the full software development lifecycle in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise ECM and application platforms
• Lead end-to-end delivery from solution design through deployment and production support
• Build secure, scalable, and high-performing systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional business and technology teams
• Maintain and enhance existing systems to meet evolving needs

Required Skills & Experience
