National Bank of Canada seeks a DevSecOps Technical Lead for Cryptography to advance digital certificate management, build trust across core platforms, and enhance PKI architecture. You’ll drive automation, security-by-design, and observability in cloud and hybrid environments.

You will partner with security, architecture, and operations teams to ensure regulatory compliance and service resilience while leading modernization efforts and mentoring peers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Significant experience in architecture, operation, or evolution of enterprise PKI platforms.
• Experience with AWS certificate management services (AWS Private CA and AWS Certificate Manager) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, and automation tools such as Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• Deep understanding of HSMs, cryptographic key management, and digital trust in cloud/hybrid environments.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS and observability practices using Datadog or Splunk.

Responsabilités

• Lead evolution and modernization of digital certificate management platforms supporting critical services across the Bank.
• Define technology directions related to digital certificates, certificate authorities, and trust chains.
• Support secure integration of cryptographic services within cloud and hybrid environments.
• Automate deployment, operation, and renewal of certificates using DevSecOps and security-by-design practices.
• Ensure integration, secure operation, and observability of HSMs and cloud-based certificate management services.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, compliance, and operations teams to ensure service stability and regulatory compliance.
