Banque Nationale du Canada is seeking a Chief Fullstack Developer to lead development in the Business Process Strategy and Evolution team. You’ll design, build, and deploy solutions across AWS, DevOps, and modern frameworks, collaborating with partners to transform our technology landscape.

The role emphasizes hybrid work flexibility, ongoing training, mentoring, and opportunities to influence technology strategy within a client-focused banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher with required years experience, or Master’s with seniority.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design patterns.
• Proven Java 21 experience; Angular 17, Node.js and Spring Boot.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL, MSSQL databases.
• Experience in software design, development, CI/CD and automated deployment.
• DevOps tools: Git, Bitbucket, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Cucumber, SonarQube.
• AWS cloud, especially Lambda and Step Functions; Python, PHP, HTML, XML, JSON assets.
• Capital markets knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust solutions for valuation treatments in financial markets.
• Interact with bank sectors and managers to provide professional support.
• Ensure quality assurance and smooth deployment of solutions.
• Provide operational support to partners.
• Identify complex issues and recommend improvements within parameters.
• Stay updated with field developments and best practices.
• Contribute ideas to improve delivery processes.
