Job summary

National Bank of Canada is seeking a Senior Advisor to drive Digital Assets capabilities within Capital Markets Operations. You will manage trade capture, settlement, custody, and on/off-chain activities while strengthening controls and scalability.

You will collaborate with Front Office, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Technology, and external providers to implement robust processes and innovative operational solutions, with a hybrid work environment and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Strong understanding of capital markets operations or post-trade activities such as settlements, reconciliations, custody, trade capture, or exception management is expected.
• Knowledge of regulatory and control frameworks applicable to financial institutions is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage Digital Assets operational activities, including trade capture, funding, custody, settlement, reconciliations, market events, and exception management.
• Implement and enhance operational processes, procedures, and controls in collaboration with Digital Assets specialists and business partners.
• Monitor transactions and positions, investigate breaks and discrepancies, coordinate resolution efforts, and strengthen operational controls.
• Develop expertise in on-chain and off-chain activities, digital wallets, exchanges, custodians, and Digital Asset Books of Record.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Technology, and external providers to support operations and evolving institutional use cases.
• Contribute to documentation, testing, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives that support the maturity and scalability of the operating model.
