Job summary

National Bank of Canada is seeking a Senior Specialist – Hybrid Telecom Platforms to design and optimize network and cloud connectivity across our hybrid environments. You’ll partner with Infrastructure and Operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-availability solutions, leveraging AWS and automation.

In this role you’ll lead design, implement, and automate connectivity, ensure security controls, and collaborate with security and application teams to drive continuous improvement in

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in networking and cloud, with ability to evolve in complex environments.
• Expertise in designing and optimizing network and AWS solutions in multi-vendor hybrid environments.
• Strong mastery of networking technologies (switches, routers, firewalls), with relevant certifications.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, BGP, OSPF) and production environments.
• Experience with AWS connectivity services (VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53) and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network and cloud connectivity solutions tailored to business needs.
• Configure and maintain secure environments for infrastructure and data.
• Automate deployments and security controls using infrastructure-as-code.
• Ensure stability, performance, and availability of network and cloud environments.
• Support operations during incidents, requests, and continuous improvement.
