Job summary

Aviva Canada is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Commercial Auto Data Science team. You will build models and data-driven solutions to improve pricing insights, customer journeys, and automation across the organization.

You'll work end-to-end from ideation to deployment, collaborating with Pricing and Technology teams, and mentoring will be available as you grow your technical expertise and impact millions of customers.

Qualifications

• MSc required; PhD preferred.
• 3+ years of experience with model development.
• 3+ years of Python programming in a professional or academic setting.

Responsibilities

• Transform sophisticated datasets into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Develop ML & statistical solutions for business challenges.
• Work end-to-end on Commercial Auto Pricing data science projects with Pricing.
• Contribute to modelling best practices and reproducibility.
• Maintain data mining tools, frameworks and approaches.
• Communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders; monitor model performance.
