Job summary

CAE is seeking a Data Engineer in Halifax to develop and maintain ETL processes, design data workflows, and ensure data quality for analysts and reporting teams. You will collaborate with cross-functional groups to deliver modelled data, dashboards, and reports in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of data engineering experience, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with ETL concepts and BI tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Strong experience with SQL, including writing and optimizing complex queries.
Understanding of ETL concepts and data pipeline design.
Ability to work collaboratively with analytics and business teams.
Completed Data Science coursework or certification.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain ETL processes using Microsoft SSIS and/or Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines.
Design and optimize workflows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability for business analysts and reporting teams.
Collaborate with analysts to deliver modelled data, dashboards, and reports.
Troubleshoot and support existing data pipelines and integrations.
