Job summary

The University of Guelph is seeking an Associate Director of Development, Student & Campus Experience (ADD-SCE) within Alumni Affairs & Development to lead fundraising for student success and campus experiences.

This senior role partners with university leaders to expand donor relationships, drive a major gifts pipeline, and help shape a long-term fundraising strategy across the campus community.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of fundraising experience in university or public sector.
• Undergraduate degree completed; CFRE preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience leading teams and working with senior staff.
• Ability to engage senior leadership strategically.
• Strong planning, people management and administrative skills.
• Proven relationship-building with high-profile stakeholders.
• Experience with alumni engagement, annual giving, major gifts and planned giving.

Responsibilities

• Secure philanthropic support for programs that drive student success.
• Lead a planned giving pipeline with AA&D’s Planned Gift team.
• Collaborate to develop and implement long-term fundraising strategy.
• Engage senior leaders and donors across multiple sectors.
• Oversee personnel and resources to achieve fundraising goals.
