Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Working toward a CPA designation is considered an asset.
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or progress toward the designation is considered an asset.
• Typically, 3–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or a related field.
• Experience with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Payroll an asset.
• Experience with Deltek VantagePoint or similar financial software, an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Administration: Manage bi‑weekly payroll processing for three entities using QuickBooks, including timesheets, setup, deductions, and reporting.
• Accounts Receivable: Manage monthly invoicing, monitor receivables, collections, discrepancies, and AR reports.
• Accounts Payable: Review, code, and process vendor invoices; payments per procedures; maintain vendor records.
• General Accounting: Bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, GL review.
• Month-End Close: Support close with reconciliations, schedules, journals, and deadlines.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare routine and ad‑hoc reports and provide data for management decisions.
