Job summary

GE Vernova Grid Systems Integration seeks a experienced engineer to develop HVDC control and protection functions using MATLAB/Simulink. You will work in an agile team, manage code generation workflows, and ensure MIL/SIL validation. Knowledge of Embedded Coder, GitHub, and IEC61850 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical, Control, or Software Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in model-based design for control systems using MATLAB/Simulink.

Responsibilities

• Capture system-level requirements and test specifications.
• Develop, implement, and debug control algorithms for HVDC converter functions in MATLAB/Simulink.
• Design and implement test harness with automatic assessment for MIL/SIL validation.
• Integrate functional blocks in converter control units per interface specs.
• Participate in code generation workflows with Embedded Coder and IEC61850 knowledge.
• Perform MIL/SIL validation to ensure integration of functions.
• Collaborate with system engineers and testers in agile sprints; track in JIRA.
• Contribute to peer reviews, unit testing and integration sessions.
• Manage version control and branching through GitHub Enterprise.
