GE Vernova Grid Systems Integration business line offers control and protection solutions for Line Commutated Converter (LCC) HVDC valve technologies. The "brain" of these stations consists of control and protection systems that ensure efficient, safe, and reliable operation.
The control system is modelled and implemented in MATLAB/Simulink, following existing functional requirements and internal development standards. Development follows an agile methodology (Scrum framework) with JIRA for backlog management and GitHub for configuration management.
