Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting HVAC Technician Journeypersons to join the Heartland Constructors maintenance team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided from Calgary/Edmonton to site with 14 days on, 14 days off, 12 hours per day; on-site lodging includes hot meals and Wi‑Fi.

This temp position runs Aug 18 to Oct 26 and may extend. HVAC mechanics install, maintain, repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems and their parts on industrial/commercial sites.

Qualifications

• Provincial Journeyperson/Red Seal certification is required.
• Standard First Aid Level A or C is required.
• Energy Safety Canada Orientation and Fall Protection training.
• Confined Space Entry & Monitor and ESTS training preferred.
• Clean Drug & Alcohol record and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and overhaul of HVAC systems and components.
• Check system parts, lubricate moving parts and monitor refrigerant charge.
• Diagnose and fix unit problems by repairing controls and wiring.
• Repair heating equipment and calibrate gas-related controls.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain satisfaction.
• Read and interpret drawings/blueprints; use testing equipment.
• Assist with startups of new or adjusted systems.

Jardeg is recruiting HVAC Technician Journeypersons to join the Heartland Constructors maintenance team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided from Calgary/Edmonton to site! Shift schedules will be on a 14 days on, 14 days off, 12 hours per day. While working on site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facility, Wi‑Fi and much more!

This is for a temp position from Aug 18 to Oct 26, could go longer.

Refrigeration and air conditioning (HVAC) mechanics install, maintain, repair and overhaul industrial/commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems and their component parts.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance work involving checking all parts of a system, lubricating moving parts and monitoring the refrigerant charge.
• Diagnosing and fixing unit problems by replacing or repairing controls, electric wiring or other parts.
• Repairing heating equipment, troubleshoot gas‑fired equipment and calibrate all gas‑related controls.
• Responsible for delivery of excellent customer service and sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• HVAC diagnostic experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot, in addition to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Experience using testing equipment.
• Experience with startups of new or adjusted.

• Provincial Journeyperson or Red Seal Certification
• Must complete satisfactory Drug & Alcohol test
• Standard First Aid Level A or C
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License
• Energy Safety Canada Certified Common Safety Orientation
• Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection.
