Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting a Pipeliner to join the Heartland Constructors at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort McKay, Alberta. The role includes 12‑hour days on a 14/14 rotation with fly-in transport from Calgary/Edmonton and camp lodging at Wapasu, with meals and facilities provided.

Wages are competitive with opportunities to work on-site, with safety‑first team culture and potential plant movement. Valid Red Seal certification and safety tickets are required to ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson or Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certification required.
  • Standard First Aid (Level A or C) required.
  • Safety tickets: ESC Fall Protection, ESC MEWP, ESC Confined Space as applicable.
  • Basic Rigging course required; in-person.
  • Drug & Alcohol test satisfactory; mask fit test.
  • Valid Canadian Driver’s Licence mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Use rigging equipment (slings, shackles, chainfalls, etc.).
  • Rig up spools, valves, blinds for removal/installation.
  • Work safely alongside mobile equipment (telehandlers, mobile crane).
  • Assist Pipefitters with alignment and bolt-up on 24”–42” pipe.
  • Erect and take down skid piles; assist with stringing activities.
  • Operate hand and power tools; clean and prepare sites.
  • Spot for equipment and overhead powerlines.
  • Follow Jardeg safety management system and values.

Jardeg is recruiting a Pipeliner to join the Heartland Constructors at theImperial Oil Kearlsite in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided from Calgary or Edmonton to site. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi‑Fi and much more!

They will be working 12 hours per day, on a 14/14 shift which allows for a good work life balance. Competitive rates, opportunities to move around the plant and working with a team with a "safety first" mindset make this role ideal!

Pipeliners lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes. Pipefitters also remove and replace worn components, do general maintenance work and may work on plant shut-downs.

Responsibilities:
