Job summary

Jardeg recruits Pipefitters to join the Heartland Constructors team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights from Calgary/Edmonton, lodging at Wapasu camp with meals and facilities are provided.

Responsibilities include laying out, assembling, fabricating, maintaining and repairing piping systems including pressurized lines; hydrotest; reading drawings; and ensuring quality and safety compliance.

• Journeyperson Certificate of Completion in the Pipefitter trade.
• Energy Safety Canada CSO
• Energy Safety Canada Confined Space
• Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
• Energy Safety Canada Wood Buffalo / Wildlife awareness
• Basic Rigging - In Person
• Overhead Crane - In Person
• First Aid - Level A or C
• Valid Driver's License
• Satisfactory Drug and Alcohol Test
• Mask Fit Test
• Other Tickets may be required; to be determined by scope.

• Demonstrate knowledge of piping system components: measure, cut, thread, bend.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems.
• Hydrotest and install pipe spools within modular assemblies with supports.
• Use testing equipment to check for leaks and troubleshoot fittings.
• Read and interpret client drawings and specifications; update as-built drawings.

Jardeg is recruiting Pipefitters to join the Heartland Constructors team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided from Calgary or Edmonton to site. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi and much more!.

Steamfitter – pipefitters lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes. Pipefitters also remove and replace worn components, do general maintenance work and may work on plant shut-downs.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge offunctionaloperation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems.
• Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
• Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
• Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
• Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition.
• Follow various Heartland and Client policies & procedures including adherence to requirements of ISO 9001-2000.
