1Click Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our Ottawa team. The role focuses on residential heating and cooling, including service, installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heat pumps.

Ideal candidates have G2 Gas Technician certification and a background in residential HVAC, with strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently in customers' homes. A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections.
• Diagnose equipment performance issues and recommend solutions.
• Complete installations according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.
• Maintain accurate service and installation documentation.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and provide clear explanations of work completed.

About the Role

1Click Energy Solutions is looking for an experienced HVAC Technician to join our growing team in Ottawa. This position is ideal for a hands-on technician who is comfortable working in residential environments and has experience with service, installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

You will work on a variety of HVAC equipment, with a strong focus on residential heating and cooling systems and heat pumps.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential HVAC service, diagnostics, repairs, installations, and maintenance
• Install and commission heat pump-based heating and cooling equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and HVAC system issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
• Diagnose equipment performance issues and recommend appropriate solutions
• Complete installations according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes
• Maintain accurate service and installation documentation
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and provide clear explanations of work completed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices

Requirements

• G2 Gas Technician certification – required
• 313D Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic – preferred
• Previous residential HVAC service and installation experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Comfortable working independently in customers' homes
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work safely and professionally in a fast-paced environment
