About the Role

1Click Energy Solutions is looking for a motivated and hardworking HVAC Installer Helper to join our growing team in Ottawa.

This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, reliable, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in the HVAC trade. You will work alongside experienced HVAC installers and technicians, assisting with residential heating and cooling installations, including heat pump systems.

Previous HVAC experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person. We're looking for someone with a great attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC installers with residential heating and cooling installations
• Assist with the installation of ductless and central heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces, air handlers, and related equipment
• Help with running line sets, refrigerant piping, drains, ductwork, and other installation components
• Load, unload, and organize tools and materials required for installations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Assist with equipment preparation, installation, and start-up procedures
• Follow instructions from lead installers and technicians
• Learn and develop proper HVAC installation techniques and industry practices
• Follow company safety procedures and manufacturer specifications
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with homeowners and team members
• Help ensure installations are completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Take initiative and assist the installation team wherever needed

Requirements

• Previous HVAC, construction, mechanical, or general labour experience is an asset
• G3 and G2 certification is required
• Strong willingness to learn and develop a career in the HVAC trade
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Comfortable working in residential environments, including attics, crawl spaces, basements, and outdoors
• Good physical ability and comfortable lifting equipment and materials
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation is an asset
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely
• Takes pride in quality workmanship and keeping a clean job site
