DryBuild Group is seeking an experienced HVAC Subcontractor to join our Calgary-based team on a project-by-project basis. You will handle heating, ventilation and air conditioning work across basements, residential renovations and small commercial projects, ensuring quality and safety on every site.

The ideal candidate operates independently, reads drawings, coordinates with other trades, and prepares work for inspections when required.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience is required for project work across Calgary.
• Must be licensed or legally qualified to perform HVAC/mechanical work in Alberta.
• Gas-related work must be performed by a properly qualified contractor.
• Own tools and a reliable vehicle are required.
• Able to work independently and follow drawings and site instructions.

Responsibilities

• Complete HVAC work according to project scope and site requirements.
• Read drawings and follow layout measurements accurately.
• Install or modify ducts, vents, returns, exhaust lines, fans, and related components.
• Coordinate with framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, and finishing trades.
• Prepare work for inspections when required.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Communicate progress, scheduling, materials, and inspection needs.

DryBuild Group is hiring an HVAC Subcontractor to join our team on a project-by-project basis.

We work on basements, residential homes, renovations, and small commercial construction projects across Calgary.

This position is ideal for an experienced HVAC contractor who can complete heating, ventilation, and air conditioning work safely, professionally, and according to project requirements. Projects may include basement ventilation, duct modifications, return air coordination, bathroom fans, exhaust systems, furnace-related coordination, and other HVAC-related work depending on the scope.

We are looking for someone who can work independently, follow drawings and site instructions, coordinate with other trades, meet deadlines, and prepare work for inspections when required.

In Calgary, HVAC installations in new buildings and renovations require mechanical permits. Work involving natural gas must be done by a certified, licensed mechanical contractor.
