Balcaen & Sons in Winnipeg is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician/Installer to install and service heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in newly constructed homes, renovations, and retro-fit projects.

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Technician/Installer to join our team in Winnipeg. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and servicing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in newly constructed residential homes, renovations, and retro-fit installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and service furnaces, air conditioners, HRVs, ductwork, and related HVAC systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Ensure all installations meet local building codes and safety standards
• Work closely with site supervisors, builders, and other trades
• Perform system testing and basic troubleshooting as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Lead effectively and train apprentices
• Problem solve along with leadership throughout project timelines

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in residential HVAC including installing ACs, heat pumps and gas appliances
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and installation techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically able to lift heavy equipment and work in various job site conditions
• Valid Class 5 Drivers license
• MOPIA license

Assets (Not Required but Preferred):

• RACM-R certification or apprenticeship experience
• Gas fitting license (B)
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication
