Job Description

DryBuild Alberta is hiring a Framing Subcontractor to join our team on a project-by-project basis.
We work on basements, residential homes, renovations, and small construction projects across Calgary.
This position is ideal for an experienced subcontractor who is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to complete framing work to a high standard. Projects may include basement framing, interior wall framing, bulkheads, soffits, steel stud framing, wood framing, and other related structural or non-structural framing tasks depending on the scope.
We are looking for someone who can work independently, follow plans and site instructions, meet deadlines, and maintain quality workmanship on site.

Responsibilities

Complete framing work according to project scope and site requirements.
Build walls, bulkheads, soffits, and other framing components as needed.
Read drawings and follow layout measurements accurately.
Ensure framing is level, straight, secure, and ready for the next stage of work.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Follow safety guidelines and job site instructions.
Communicate clearly regarding progress, scheduling, and material needs.
Deliver clean, professional workmanship on every project.

Requirements

Previous framing experience is required.
Must be a subcontractor or able to work as one.
Own tools and reliable vehicle are required.
Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Strong understanding of residential framing methods.
Must be punctual, reliable, and respectful on site.
Experience with basement development and renovation framing is an asset.
Must be legally able to work in Canada.
