Job summary

Crown Property Management Inc. is seeking a qualified Third Class Engineer for the Place de Ville complex in Ottawa.

You will be responsible for the safe, reliable operation of HVAC and mechanical equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and working with contractors to ensure efficient building operations. The role requires an Ontario Third Class Operating Engineer Certificate, with preference for Second Class exams, and the ability to obtain Government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Third Class Operating Engineer Certificate required.
• Preference for Second Class Engineer exams.
• Experience with HVAC systems and building automation is preferred.
• Ability to work with contractors and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems in buildings and central plants.
• Operate and maintain high-pressure central steam plant and large HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with contractors to plan and execute maintenance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in operations.
• Work rotating and weekday shifts.
