Job summary

CBRE is seeking an HVAC Sr. Technician in Canada to maintain and optimize large commercial HVAC systems across multiple facilities. You’ll ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operations while handling advanced building systems and complex technical challenges.

Qualifications

• High school or trade diploma plus 2–3 years of related experience.
• Red Seal/313A HVAC license or Journeyman certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and completion of an apprenticeship.

• Inspect and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety standards.

What You’ll Do

• Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain large electric or pneumatic control systems used for building.
• heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment, Calibrate instruments, gauges, and control components.
• Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a diploma. A red seal/313 A HVAC License or a Journeyman certification is required. Valid driver's license and completion of an apprenticeship required. Prior HVAC and supermarket refrigeration experience preferred.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset

The salary range being offered for the HVAC/R Sr. Technician role is between $100,000 annually and $110,000 annually. The compensation that is provided to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
