Role Overview

We are seeking an HVAC Service Technician to join our Service team. Reporting to the HVAC Service Manager, you will work with contractors during installs, start-ups, and help ensure services run smoothly from day one. You’ll provide expert support in the field and over the phone, troubleshoot technical issues, and work hands-on with industry-leading products.

Responsibilities
  • Be the expert voice for customers on the O’Dell product lineup.
  • Start up and commission new systems alongside contractors, ensuring smooth and safe operation.
  • Provide virtual or phone support to installers and technicians for wiring, piping, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with our Sales team on product layout and integration.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers for technical support and information.
  • Attend customer sites for hands-on support during installs, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with warranty claims processing, working closely with contractors and internal teams.
  • Travel to manufacturer facilities for product training as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Licensed 313A Refrigeration Mechanic and/or G1 Gas Technician.
  • Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Trades.
  • Valid G-class driver’s license.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within service territories.
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial and industrial HVAC service.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and punctual.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, work at heights, and in extreme temperatures.
