Job summary

United Rentals is looking for an Outside Sales Rep in the Power/HVAC division in Canada. You will rent and sell specialty engineered power supply and climate control solutions, including silenced diesel generators and air-conditioning equipment.

You’ll use sales and consultative skills to turn interested parties into loyal customers. Responsibilities include generating new accounts, presenting turnkey services, coordinating with technical staff for site assessments and quotes, and providing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3 years of sales experience.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred; strong sales acumen and achievement will be considered.
• Strong negotiation and selling skills; excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Increase branch revenue through quality customer service and understanding of specialty engineered rental products.
• Establish new rental accounts via phone calls and in-person visits.
• Present a full range of turnkey services to customers.
• Work with technical staff for site assessments, solutions, sizing, quotes, and credit support.
• Provide existing accounts with information on other products and services.
• Give formal sales presentations to customers.
• Demonstrate equipment through demos and training sessions.
• Assist operations with invoicing and payments follow-up.
• Record sales activity using Salesforce and other tools.
