Job summary

O'Dell HVAC Group in Ottawa's Nepean office is seeking an Inside Sales Representative. You will respond to customer inquiries, prepare quotations, and coordinate opportunities from inquiry to order fulfillment, working with engineers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project progression.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will manage pricing, lead times, and customer communications while maintaining ERP/CRM data and supporting submittals.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years in inside sales, sales support, or project coordination.
• HVAC/building services industry experience is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; ERP/CRM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries with product, pricing, and lead-time info.
• Prepare accurate quotations, including special pricing and tenders.
• Follow up on opportunities to support conversion and responsiveness.
• Coordinate from inquiry to order entry, with project handoffs.
• Liaise with customers, vendors, engineers, and internal teams.
• Review specs/drawings to assist pricing and product selection.
• Track opportunities, timelines, and customer needs; escalate risks.
• Maintain ERP/CRM data accurately and up-to-date.
• Support technical submittals, docs, and drawing packages.
• Communicate order status and lead times proactively.
• Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Support continuous improvement and team efficiency.
