Job summary
Honeywell International Inc. is seeking an HVAC Designer in Markham, Ontario to design building control systems, select components, and support retrofit opportunities. You will work with customers and internal teams to ensure solutions meet specifications and deliver high-quality results.
The role requires a Bachelor degree or diploma in engineering with 2–3 years in HVAC control systems. Experience with AutoCAD and common MS Office tools is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or diploma in engineering.
- 2–3 years of HVAC control systems engineering experience.
- 1 year experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Design building control systems including DDC controllers and select hardware, software, equipment and services.
- Engineer hardware, software, graphics, sequences, drawings, valve sizing and damper schedules.
- Review plans, scope, specs, survey data, sketches and estimates to define engineering requirements.
- Prepare submittals per engineering standards and obtain hardware approval.
- Support Sales and Project Manager on surveys, retrofit opportunities and client objectives.
- Create change-order estimates for ongoing projects.
- Effectively communicate benefits of Honeywell solutions to sales teams and customers.
- Collaborate with field technicians and engineers to meet deadlines.
