Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort is seeking an HVAC Apprentice Technician in Canada to join a team focused on growth and customer care. You will service residential HVAC equipment, participate in inspections, and support ongoing training in a structured apprenticeship program.

The role emphasizes safety, proper equipment operation, and clear communication with customers while you develop skills across controls, diagnostics, and installation support.

Qualifications

• Must meet company requirements including Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must be an installer or technician.
• Gas Technician 2 (G2) license and 2 years HVAC experience.
• OCOT acceptance and timely renewal of fees and licenses.
• Valid full G Driver’s License.
• Able to progress through apprenticeship levels.
• Physically capable of performing all duties.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to learn new technologies (electronics/electricity/pressures).

Responsibilities

• Learn and grow as part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
• Service HVAC equipment for residential customers and related appliances.
• Perform general inspections of home appliances.
• Carry out duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Adhere to all safety rules.
• Explain benefits of high-efficiency equipment to customers.
• Ensure safe operation of new installations and instruct customers on care.
• Maintain company vehicle in neat, clean, safe condition.
• Promote Reliance Home Comfort products on every call.

What will you do?

• Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
• Responsible to professionally service HVAC equipment, accessory items, for residential customers
• General and other inspections of all types of appliances for residential users
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor or designate
• Adhere to all safety rules
• Explain the benefits of newer, high efficient equipment to the customer
• To ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care, maintenance.
• Maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standard
• Promote Reliance Home Comfort products and services on every call

What do you bring?

• Must meet Company requirements with respect to general qualifications and have completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must be an installer or technician.
• Must have Gas Technician ‘2’ (G2) license and 2 years of HVAC experience.
• Must be accepted by OCOT and keep up all fees, required licenses, and progress in a timely manner.
• Must be effective at HVAC lead generation and CPP enrollments.
• Must have demonstrated a strong of technical, customer service skills and company metrics in current and previous roles.
• Must have a valid full G Driver’s License.
• Must be able to progress through all levels of this apprenticeship in a timely manner.
• Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to understand/learn new technologies (ie. Electronics/ electricity/pressures).
