Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort in Toronto, Ontario is hiring an HVAC Apprentice to join its service team. You will learn and grow as an essential part of a customer-focused team, servicing residential HVAC equipment and performing inspections across a variety of appliances.

You will adhere to safety guidelines and promote high-efficiency solutions while maintaining company vehicles and supporting ongoing skills development.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must have Gas Technician G2 license and 2 years HVAC experience.
• Must be registered in the Apprenticeship program.
• Must be accepted by OCOT and keep up all fees, required licenses, and progress in a timely manner.
• Must have a valid full G Driver’s License.
• Must progress through all levels of the apprenticeship timely.
• Must be physically capable of performing all work required.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
• Must be able to learn new technologies (electronics/electricity/pressures).

Responsibilities

• Learn and grow as part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
• Service HVAC equipment and accessories for residential customers.
• Perform general inspections of appliances for residential users.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
• Adhere to safety rules.
• Explain benefits of newer, high-efficiency equipment to customers.
• Ensure safe operation of new installations and instruct customers on care and maintenance.
• Maintain company vehicle to a neat, clean, safe standard.
• Promote Reliance Home Comfort products and services on every call.

What will you do?

• Must meet Company requirements with respect to general qualifications and have completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must be an installer or technician.
• Must have Gas Technician ‘2’ (G2) license and 2 years of HVAC experience
• Must be registered in the Apprenticeship program.
• Must be accepted by OCOT and keep up all fees, required licenses, and progress in a timely manner.
• Must be effective at HVAC lead generation and CPP enrollments.
• Must have demonstrated a strong of technical, customer service skills and company metrics in current and previous roles.
• Must have a valid full G Driver’s License.
• Must be able to progress through all levels of this apprenticeship in a timely manner.
• Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to understand/learn new technologies (ie. Electronics/ electricity/pressures).
