Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort is seeking an HVAC Service Technician in Canada to service water heaters and HVAC equipment, adhering to manufacturer specs and local codes. You will educate customers on operation, safety, and maintenance while working within a team that values growth and exceptional service.

The role requires a Grade 12 or equivalent and a Domestic Gas Fitter B license (or in progress), plus 3–5 years of field experience and a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Domestic Gas Fitter B license (or in progress).
• 3–5 years of field experience in service of Water Heaters & HVAC equipment.
• Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Willing to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required.
• Physically capable of lifting 15 kg and performing required tasks in varied environments.
• Able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Willing to wear company-provided uniform and maintain vehicle condition.

• To ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care, maintenance.

What do you bring?

• Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must have a Domestic Gas Fitter B license (or in progress)
• 3 – 5 years of field experience in service of Water Heaters & HVAC equipment, would be an asset
• Must have at least a Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Be willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required.
• Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position, i.e. occasional lifting of 15 kg up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, working inside and outside in all types of weather within environments that can be dusty and/or slippery.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
• Must have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Must have outstanding customer service skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to understand/learn new technologies (i.e. Electronics/ electricity).
• Very punctual and dependable.
• Must be willing to wear Company provided uniform.
• Maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standard.
