Our client offers an excellent opportunity to join their leadership team as Human Resources Manager. You will work with a small, supportive team and approachable executive management. The successful candidate will have leadership experience in Human Resources and Labour Relations, strong negotiation skills, and thrive in a close-knit environment adapting to changing priorities. The role includes a competitive total compensation package and a hybrid work schedule.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Reporting to the President, you will oversee Human Resources & Strategic Planning, Labour Relations, Recruitment, Training & Development, Compensation & Benefits. You will lead a small team and be empowered by senior executives to provide a people-focused approach, strong leadership, and negotiation skills, especially in Labour Relations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Labour Relations, or Organizational Development.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources and/or Labour Relations.
  • Experience within a regulated Canadian business preferred.
  • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, development, employee relations, and labour relations preferred.
  • CHRP designation is preferred.
  • Ability to travel (15-20%).
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Payroll practices.
  • Active affiliation with HR networks and organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a detailed environment.
  • Experience with multi-site organizations.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proven business acumen, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Approachable, flexible, adaptable in a fluid environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Honesty, transparency, and accountability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Windows applications.
