Judge Direct Placement is seeking a degreed Human Resources Manager for a company in Toronto, ON. The qualified candidate will assist upper management in implementing and managing human resource policies, services, and programs to align with the group's objectives and goals. They will oversee employment activities at the group level and across multiple facilities through middle management, playing a key role in daily HR responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Review business units regarding human capital using their experience.
2. Ensure compliance and maintain thorough knowledge in all company areas.
3. Oversee the Payroll Department in collaboration with management.
4. Discuss staffing issues with management.
5. Prepare and advise on new hire, merit, promotional, and termination paperwork.
6. Manage recruiting activities, including advertising, relationship building, negotiations, offers, and onboarding.
7. Support updates and maintenance of HCMS initiatives aligned with business strategy.
8. Advise Group leadership on compliance, policies, and legal regulations.
9. Provide recommendations on talent acquisition, performance management, workforce planning, and change management.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree required.
2. Proven leadership with experience in employee development.
3. At least 5 years of experience in HR Manager/Generalist roles.
4. Track record of results, leadership skills, and strong interpersonal abilities.
5. PHR or SPHR certification is highly preferred.
6. Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
7. Experience with workplace safety programs.
