Position: Human Resources Manager

Basic Responsibilities

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating the human resources needs of the Osoyoos Indian Band/Osoyoos Indian Band Development Corporation in collaboration with the HR Director. This role will shape the human resources growth, policy, and strategic vision of the organization.

Reporting to the HR Director/CEO, the manager will oversee personnel management, including wage increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with policies. The role involves working closely with leadership and operational managers to determine staffing needs and oversee recruitment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in business administration and Human Resources Management
• CHRP designation preferred
• 7-10 years of progressive HR experience
• Ability to meet strategic HR and organizational objectives
• Experience in talent management, succession planning, and employee relations
• Sound decision-making and evidence-based recommendations
• Effective communication skills at all organizational levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of personnel legislation and labour laws
