Job summary

CWC PCN seeks an experienced HR leader to plan, direct, and execute the HR strategy in alignment with business objectives. You will lead talent acquisition, rewards, L&D, organizational change, and HR analytics while ensuring compliant, smooth HR operations.

You will partner with leadership to forecast talent needs, optimize HRIS usage (UKG), manage compensation processes, and drive employee engagement and development across the organization.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.
  • CPHR designation is required.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (UKG) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and implement HR strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead and oversee talent acquisition, total rewards, L&D, change management, employee relations, performance management, OHS, engagement, retention, and HR analytics.
  • Ensure efficient day-to-day HR service delivery.
  • Partner with CWC PCN leaders and advise on best practices, policies, and employment law.
  • Manage UKG HRIS relationship and system optimization.
  • Forecast talent needs and develop strategies for acquisition, development, and retention.
  • Lead annual compensation review and benefits allocations.
  • Manage job evaluations and salary structure placements for new/updated roles.
  • Oversee benefits programs and provider relationships.
  • Support learning and development initiatives and resolution of complex employee issues.
  • Monitor employment law developments and update policies accordingly.
  • Oversee OHS management system and department budget.
  • Drive end-to-end employee lifecycle for direct reports.
  • Lead departmental program design and change management initiatives.

Job description

  • Plan, direct, and implement all aspects of the CWC PCN’s HR strategy to align with business objectives.
  • Lead and provide oversight to the HR team in operating talent acquisition, total rewards, learning and development, organizational change and development, employee relations, performance management, occupational health and safety, engagement and retention, and HR technology and analytics.
  • Manage and ensure the efficient day-to-day delivery of HR services and processes across the organization.
  • Establish and maintain ongoing partnerships with clients (CWC PCN leadership and management) and provide advice based on best practices, policies, and employment law.
  • Act as a key contact for the HRIS system (UKG) relationship.
  • Work with business units to analyze and forecast needs, identify critical talent gaps, and develop and implement appropriate strategies for talent acquisition, engagement, development, and retention.
  • Support the annual market compensation review and salary structure adjustment process.
  • Lead the annual compensation and benefits entitlements allocation process and communication of total rewards packages to employees.
  • Lead the job evaluation and salary structure placement process for all new and updated roles.
  • Act as key contact for the benefits provider relationship and all group benefits programs.
  • Support internal and external learning and development initiatives.
  • Oversee the resolution of sensitive and complex employee issues.
  • Continually monitor legal and regulatory developments in employment law and update policies and procedures.
  • Lead and oversee the CWC PCN’s Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Management System.
  • In collaboration with the department director, develop and manage the annual budget for the department.
  • Oversee performance management processes through annual reviews and ongoing performance discussions.
  • Lead the full employee lifecycle for direct reports, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, recognition, and timely resolution of performance concerns.
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and operation of departmental program offerings using project and change management methodologies.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of six years’ progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist or business partner capacity, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience leading a team and accountable for all aspects of people leadership, including performance management, coaching, employee development, and employee relations.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience supporting a remote, dispersed workforce (asset).
  • A minimum of one year of payroll experience (asset).
  • CPHR designation is required.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (UKG).
  • A clear Criminal Background check is required to start.
